Sephora Favorites - Poolside Party

A summer-ready makeup essentials kit joins Sephora’s collection of the 2020 favorites. I just love the variety of sets they curate for hair, skin, lips and eyes. The Poolside Party Kit is a six-piece must-have summer essential set. “This multi-branded kit features a mix of categories, including a full-size waterproof mascara and lipstick; a deluxe-size body oil, sunscreen, and lip tint; and a trial-size moisturizer, highlighter, and wave spray.” All the items come packed in a cute blue reusable toiletry bag. The bag looks like it’s made with soft-touch plastic, with a palm tree-shaped zip pull. The material looks like it would withstand wetness at the beach, pool, or even a wet bathing suit. The set retails for $40 CAD at Sephora but it’s currently out of stock.

There were a few items in this set that I wanted to try before committing to their full-size components. To my surprise, many of the items were much smaller than expected. Especially the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, Major Glow body Oil and the Jouer Highlighter. You don’t need much of the highlighter and body oil at a time so they would last longer. These sizes, however, are great for travel. Also great for keeping you hydrated and glowing at the pool or hot summer days. Hopefully, we can enjoy all those activities soon or I’ll have to enjoy these items at home.

Skinny Dip Highlighter, Major Body Oil - A Moment and Spring Break Lipstick

I heard so many great things about the Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlighters and it did not disappoint. it makes my skin look dewy and I love the glow. The Sephora Collection lipstick is a beautiful rosy shade and has a creamy formula. I’m a fan of Tarte’s mascaras and Quai’s hair products. The Sol De Janeiro cream smells amazing but I don’t see the hype around it. The one product that I’m glad I didn’t buy the full size in is the Patrick Ta Body Oil. The formula is greasy and the shimmer is very subtle and it disappears when the product is rubbed into the skin.
