Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation - Review and Swatches

Nars Cosmetics has introduced a 16-hour fade resistant foundation that is lightweight and breathable. The Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation is available in 33 skin-matching shades ranging from deep espresso to the fairest tones. It has medium to full buildable coverage that is said to stay looking fresh all day. It was formulated to improve skin texture with "Nar's skin optimizing complex - a blend of raspberry, apple, and watermelon extracts - helps support skin’s elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin’s appearance over time for optimal radiance." The foundation retails for $60 CAD at Sephora, Hudson's Bay, Nordstrom, Murale and Shoppers Drug Mart. I was lucky enough to have two shades sent to me for review - Aruba and Tahoe. Today I will be sharing my thoughts on the two and swatches of course.

The foundation comes in a sleek rectangular glass bottle that isn't too bulky. It also includes a pump making it very convenient to use. The 33 shades are categorized by colour - Light, Medium, Medium Dark and Deep. The range is quite impressive, especially with all the available undertones. The foundation can be sheered out or built to a medium to full coverage. You just need a small amount to cover the entire face and even out the skin tone. It hides imperfections and has a natural skin-like finish. That's what I love about this foundation; it doesn't feel heavy or look cakey. It isn't too matte or too dewy; it looks radiant. It blends out easily and I like to use a wet sponge for application and buff it out with a brush. I didn't experience any irritation on my skin nor any white flashback with a camera flash. I've included swatches of the two shades that I have as well as a chart of the other shades. Aruba worked best on my complexion right now. Tahoe is slightly darker and would work well when I have a tan in the summer.
