Tarte Styled by Hrush Eye and Cheek Palette: Review, Photos & Swatches
Hrush's palette comes in a gold compact with a faux croc texture on the cover with a sizable mirror inside. This palette is very thin and light which makes it perfect for travel unlike some of Tarte's other eyeshadow palette. It also includes a step by step guide to create 4 different looks created by Hrush.
The Styled by Hrush palette includes 6 shadows - 3 mattes, 3 lusters, that can be used as a base, crease, liner and highlight shadows for a complete eye look. All shades have a soft, silky texture and blend really well. The formula on these is a bit better than some previous Tarte palettes I own. It also contains a full sized matte coral blush that is so pretty and can warm up any look.
Shades:
- cheeky (matte coral blush)
- bliss (white gold)
- smitten (pink champagne)
- royal (shimmering berry)
- pinch (warm golden peach)
- kitty (matte brown)
- vamp (taupe)
Final Thoughts:
I think this is a great palette to use as we transition into fall. For what it is worth, it's very affordable. One of Tarte's full size blushes roughly cost as much as the palette. The packaging is very compact; I will definitely take this palette with me on future travels. It's also nice to have coordinating shades in one palette that work well together. It's really convenient when you're on the go and trying to pull a quick look together. As some of the shades are dupable, they are a couple stand out shades such as Royal and Cheeky. I also like the highlighter shade in Bliss, and Pinch makes a nice transition shade. It is also standard for most palettes to include some variation of light creams and browns so that is hard to avoid. The only downside that I have noticed with some of eyeshadows is that they quickly fade once applied. I recommend using fix plus to enhance the pigmentation. I love Tarte's blushes, but who doesn't? Cheeky is with no exception any different. The shade of coral is gorgeous! Even though it has a matte finish, It adds a smooth glowing complexion to your cheeks.
Here is a look I created using this palette.
