PUR Cosmetics Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks and Chrome Glaze Lip Glosses - Review and Swatches

Pur recently launched their Twelve shades of Fabulous Campaign that coincided with the release of the Fifty Shades Darker movie. Playing to a masquerade theme, media packages included a sexy lace mask. While wearing a mask can be sexy and dreamy - pairing with a killer lip is what really sets it off. There are six new Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks and six Chrome Glaze Lip Glosses that will definitely take your lip game to a new level. You will be seeing swatches for both shortly.

Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks ($18 USD):

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear "matte" lipsticks, is dry; however, these are anything but dry. The formula has a mousse like texture that glides on very smoothly and it doesn't flake throughout the day. I like the triangle tip applicator on the wand as it allows for a more precise application especially around the lip lines and just one swipe leaves great coverage. They also contain agave extract to moisturize and condition the lips.. The lipsticks are available in six different shades that are swatched below. The lipsticks pair great with the glosses too. The shade FBF is my favourite of the bunch; btw I love the names of the shades.

Chrome Glaze High-Shine Lip Glosses ($18 USD):

I'm a gloss type of girl and Pur makes some amazing glosses. These chrome like glosses are high in pigment and uses a gel technology to delivery a high shine. The formula contains agave extract for lasting moisture, durability and it helps to plump lips. They can be worn alone or layered over the Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks for a more opaque look. There are six colour options in this line and I'm really liking the lighter shades.

The possibilities are endless with these two products which are not just limited to the above combos. I typically add a gloss over my lipsticks so I appreciate the different combo options to create a different look every time. I'm really loving the formula on the lipsticks. They are creamy, pigmented and wear very comfortably. The glosses are very moisturizing and lightweight. I enjoy wearing them on their own as well. And of course, I'm partial to the nudes and pinks.
