Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette - Review, Photos & Swatches
Hi Beauties!
For Spring 2018, Too Faced has expanded their Peaches and Cream Collection with the launch of the White Peach Eye Shadow Palette. The 12 shadow palette features a mix of peach, champagne, soft pink and deep plum shades. The previous palette in the Peaches and Cream line, Just Peachy, featured more vibrant peach shades. The shades in the White Peach Palette are more light and subtle. It includes matte, shimmer, and glitter finishes. All of the shadows are infused with peach and sweet fig milk and they smell amazing. The scent is mild and sweet. The palette retails for $55 CAD and $45 USD at Sephora and Toofaced.com.
The palette is housed in a luxe compact with a lilac ombre design and a peach clasp to open and close. A generously sized mirror can be found on the inside. The shadows are beautifully laid out in an ombre design to easily create four different looks. The shadows have minimal colour payoff and creates plenty of fallout. The texture of the mattes is fairly soft but some apply quite chalky. They do apply pigmented however they blend out almost sheer. There also isn't much shade variation between the mattes. Peach Cream was one of the drier shadows that I used for setting my eyeshadow primer and for that, it does the job. The shimmers look beautiful in the pan and when swatched, however, the sparkles don't transfer to the lids. The sparkles end up falling on my face. Perhaps, it would apply better with glitter glue. Glistening Peach is a beautiful peachy pink shade but it took quite some building (with a wet brush and fingers) to get the pigmentation that was desired. I experienced the same thing with Peach Passion, the purple shimmer shade. Peach Ice is the glitter shadow which just made a chalky mess. Even when applied with a wet brush, the glitter was not apparent in the inner corner of the eye.
The White Peach Eye Shadow Palette is good for an everyday palette to create soft looks. However, I wouldn't use it for a more pigmented glam look. It works great for work because I only use two or three shades for simple looks. I think this palette would be better suited for pale to fair complexions.
Have you tried the White Peach Palette? What are your thoughts?
