Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Underpainting #40 and Ultra HD Soft Light #40

Hi Beauties!

Make Up For Ever has introduced the latest additions to their Ultra HD line with the Underpainting Palette and the Soft Light Highlighter.  I was lucky enough to have both these items sent to me from MUFE.  Highlighter and concealer are my two favourite makeup products so I'm really excited to share these new items with you.  Both the highlighter and palette are currently available at Sephora.

Ultra HD Underpainting - $53

The Ultra HD Underpainting is a 4-in-1 palette that contains four long-lasting shades to neutralize skin tone discolouration while smoothing texture and imperfections.  It has two shades to neutralize and two shades to conceal to meet the correction needs of each individual skin tone.  It is available in six colour families to suit all complexions to correct and conceal any imperfection.  The packaging is sleek and compact and comes with a booklet illustrating how to colour correct.  The formula contains amino acid-coated pigments that offer medium to full coverage with a lightweight, second skin finish.  The six palettes range from Very Light (#20), Light (#25), Medium (#30), Tan (#40), Dark (#50) and Deep (#55).  I've chosen shade Tan which suits my complexion best.  In this palette, the dark peach shade can be used to conceal blue undertones and illuminate dull areas like my under eyes.  The yellow shade neutralizes scars, marks and dark spots such as hyperpigmentation.   The complexion correctors can be used to cover the colour correctors or worn alone.  I like to mix the two and apply the darker shade first then brighten with the lighter shade.  The formula is creamy but not too heavy and blends easily into the skin.

Ultra HD Soft Light - $36

Soft Light is liquid highlighter meant to give a soft radiance for a lit from within glow.  It contains pure mother of pearl for a sparkle-free glow.  It contains elastomer silicone which helps blur skinโ€™s texture and fill fine lines for a smooth result.  It comes in four different shades - Pink Pearl (#20), Golden Champagne (#30), Pink Copper (#40) and Golden Copper (#50).   The liquid highlighter can be worn alone or mixed with foundation for a dewy, second skin finish.  The consistency is very liquid so you only need to squeeze a small amount out of the tube.  It blends seamlessly into the skin to give a natural glow.  It does not emphasize any texture on the skin.  I like to wear it as a base for my powder highlights.

I'm really liking the Underpainting palette to colour correct and conceal.  The formula is very lightweight and pigmented.  It works well to hide my hyperpigmentation and dark under eye circles.  The Soft Light gives a subtle radiant glow if you're looking for a nice glow from within highlighter.
