Charlotte Tilbury PILLOW TALK Instant Eye Palette - Review, Photos & Swatches
Hi Beauties!
Charlotte Tilbury just announced her extension to the Pillow Talk Collection. The Instant Eye Palette in Pillow Talk was one of the main releases in this line. The limited-edition eye shadow palette contains 12 dreamy shades that feature four pillow talk eye glow looks. You can use the palette to dial-up or down for every occasion, from day to desk to date and dream. The palette is available right now on Charlottetilbury.com but won’t be in Sephora until Jan.30th and it retails for $95 CAD.
The palette comes in a beautiful soft pink box with a quilted pillow-like design, unlike the usual burgundy packaging. I love how girly and elegant it looks. The compact itself is gorgeous and luxurious and so are the colours on the inside. The Instant Eye Palette is a full-size palette unlike the previous Pillow Talk quads. There is a mix of soft mattes and metallic pearl finishes. I like that there are many matte options in this palette. It pairs well with Pillow Talk Palette of Pops but it is a standalone palette. The shades are universally flattering and can take you from day to night.
I’m wearing shades from the Day and Desk looks and paired it with the Pillow Talk Eyeliner.

There are “shimmering rose gold, peachy-caramel and dreamy champagne pink eyeshadow shades of the Day and Desk looks to the soft tawny brown, shimmering rosy pink and blushed berry-rose of the Date and Dream looks.” Within each of the four looks, Charlotte has created a three-step guide to create simple eye looks. The steps are called Prime - brighten, Enhance – transition shade and Smoke – deepen the outer V. I usually use an array of shades from each section to complete an eye look. The mattes are velvety soft, blendable and highly pigmented. I’ve been wearing all mattes lately and this palette is perfect for that. The shades are so beautiful and sultry. They also last all day where the shimmer tens to fade much quicker. The shimmers are sub-par and apply best with your fingers while using a base. Without a base, I noticed creasing after a few hours.
The DAY look contains soft shades perfect for the lid. The prime shade makes a great brow bone highlight. The DESK look is my favourite section. The mattes brighten your eyes for a suitable desk look. The enhance shade has peachy coral undertones and looks so good on the lid and crease. The DATE look contains three neutral brown shades to smoke out any eye look. The Dream section contains berry tones for a sexy sultry eye look. I was surprised how much pigment the smoke shade had on my eyes. Overall, I really like the colour story of this palette. The shades remind me of the UD Naked Cherry Palette. If you like mattes and rosy pink to berry tones, you’ll love this palette. It’s the perfect palette to give the supermodel sultry Pillow Talk gaze that can be worn anywhere.
