Charlotte Tilbury Smokey Eyes are Forever Instant Eye Palette - Swatches

Every holiday season, Charlotte Tilbury releases a new Instant Eye Palette and this year is no different. If you love a good smokey eye, you need this palette! The Smokey Eyes are Forever is a 12-pan eyeshadow palette. It features five matte eyeshadows and seven shimmery eyeshadows in six different formulas. “From matte and soft shimmer to metallic sparkle and fluid metal to intensify define and illuminate the look of your eyes this Holiday season!” The palette retails for $95 CAD and $75 USD at Sephora.

The palette comes in a black and gold cardboard box with gold stars. The compact is black with tiny specks of shimmer in a starburst design similar to previous years. The eyeshadows are laid out in four sets of three shades to create four different cohesive eye looks. Each trio has a prime, enhance, and smoke shade for easy-to-build looks. Of course, you don’t need to adhere to that and can mix and match from each section. The mattes are pigmented and creamy. I like that there are enough matte shades for me to do all matte eye looks. The matte shadows are infused with glossy ester which helps to build the colour intensity and brightness. The shimmers are beautiful as well and give a polished sheen. The metallic shades contain luminous pearls for a polished, metallic effect that plays with the light, and when wet it feels cushiony soft and is designed to amplify the richness of colour with luminosity and a crystal filter effect!
