What I Wore to the Versace Mansion in Miami

I recently came back from a vacation in Miami Beach. Whilst there I knew I had to visit the Versace Mansion after seeing photos online. I booked a reservation well before my travels which I highly recommend if you’re planning on dining there. Gianni Versace bought the abandoned property in 1992 after falling in love with it while he was on vacation with his family in Miami Beach. He invested over $30 million in renovations. Versace was killed in 1997 on the front steps of the house. Today the Villa operates as a luxury boutique hotel (named Casa Casuarina), restaurant (Gianni’s at the Villa) and event venue. I was lost for words as I stepped into the three-story building. Although the mansion is located on the popular Ocean Drive, you escape all the hustle and bustle of the very busy street and enter a serene space of luxury. The mosaic-tiled courtyard featuring a medusa surrounded by a 54-foot long pool lined with 24 karat gold was my favourite room. The service was also exceptional!

You’re going want to dress to impress. Beach attire is prohibited along with ripped jeans and flip flops. I unintentionally wore a gold dress but I have to say it matched the gold accent medusa heads and interior decor perfectly. It contrasted beautifully with the blue pool as well. In my opinion, classy attire is a must so evening dresses, matching suit sets, midi skirts, high heels, etc. There were a few people that wore mini’s and crop tops that looked out of place. I wore a silky shirt dress paired with a rhinestone belt and snakeskin heeled sandals. To finish the outfit I wore a colourful Versace Clutch.
