Anastasia Beverly Hills – Glow Kit

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I love highlighters...ok I’m obsessed! But hey who doesn’t love some (by some I mean a lot of) glow on their cheeks? I can’t remember what makeup application was like before strobing. When Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) launched her new illuminators last year, I knew I had to have them and they definitely didn’t disappoint. It was really exciting to see ABH was extending their highlighter collection. They launched two Glow Kits - That Glow and Gleam. These are suppose to be softer with a more finely-milled consistency than the Illuminators.

I purchased That Glow kit which is marketed towards more warm/tan complexions.  Each kit retails for $40 USD which is not bad for 4 different shades.  Do the math, that's an amazing deal. I was surprised at how big the pan sizes were. The pans are also removable for those that like to depot into a z-palette.  This kit is perfect for travel.  I prefer not packing my limited edition highlighters with me when I travel because I'm afraid they may crack. I usually end up taking a few of my Mac highlighters but those tend to be bulky and take up a lot of space. Now all I would need is this one kit. The packaging is a slim cardboard compact, like most of their other packaging. The colours are so versatile; they can be used individually or layered for intense luminosity. For an even more metallic glow, apply it with a damp makeup brush. I find that the lasting power is not great when you don't wet your brush. These shades can also be used anywhere that you want that extra glow; face, eyes or body.

Ok let’s break these colours down:

Sunburst – Becca - Moonstone

Golden Bronze – Becca Topaz
