Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette: Electric - Review, Photos and Swatches

Huda Beauty has created compact palettes to create both classic and playful looks that are easy to apply on the go. They are available in four different colour themes. The palettes feature nine shadows that are meant to take you from day to night. Each palette retails for $35 CAD/$27 USD. I purchased the Electric themed palette and will be reviewing and swatching it below.

The palette is conveniently sized, it actually fits in the palm of my hand. Which may seem small however the shadows are full-sized similar to brand's regular shadows. Founder Huda Kattan, addressed this on her Snapchat and stated the palettes were designed more efficiently. She also compared them to the Mac Cosmetics nine eyeshadow palette (see side by side comparison in this video). Huda Beauty's weighed more in weight (.08oz vs .10 oz). The Electric Palette features nine shocking shades. There are six bold mattes and three shimmers. I was fearful that the colours would be too bright but they are wearable. The other palettes in the Obsessions line seemed similar to those already in my stash. I'm happy with my palette choice; the colours are so fun to play with. The shades are highly pigmented and they blend well together. The shimmers apply best with fingers or a wet brush. The mattes perform well but I find the Teal shade faded after a few hours. Unfortunately the shades don't have any names.
