NUDESTIX Nudies Tinted Blur Stick - Review and Swatches
Hi Beauties!
Nudestix has always been known for their minimalist beauty approach where being your most authentic self is always encouraged by the brand. Being the best version of yourself has inspired the creation of the Tinted Blur to give that blurred coverage for the no-makeup makeup look. The stick is currently available in 10 shades ranging from light to dark and is sold for $33 CAD and $ 30 USD at Sephora and nudestix.com.
The Tinted Blur Stick is a lightweight cream to powder finish. It contains soft-focus mineral technology that provides a natural-looking finish. It is meant to blur the appearance of texture, blemishes, discolouration, lines, and pores. The formula contains hydrating coco and green tea emollients. The pigments also contain shade-adjusting elements that blend with your actual skin tone. The tint it gives looks like I have nothing on and it blends right into my skin. The Blur Stick can be used a few different ways which I've outlined below.
Tint - all-over tinted coverage for a natural finish
Blur - a blurring primer under liquid, powder or cream foundation
Blot - use over any foundation for a natural, soft-focus. Glow diffusing blotting powder for a soft matte finish
Hi-Lite and Contour - Try lighter and deeper shades to enhance and naturally sculpt the face
Shades:
- Light 1 - ivory with cool pink undertone
- Light 2 - light beige with neutral undertone
- Light 3 - light beige with warm undertone
- Medium 4 - medium beige with warm undertone
- Medium 5 - medium beige with golden undertone
- Medium 6 - medium beige with cool undertone
- Medium 7 - golden tan with cool undertone
- Deep 8 - golden tan with neutral undertone
- Deep 9 - rich tan with golden undertone
- Deep 10 - rich tan with neutral undertone
I've been using the Tinted Blur Stick as an all over tint. I don't wear foundation and powder on a daily basis so a subtle tint is great for days I want a little more coverage. It leaves a soft matte finish, sometimes I just apply it to my t-zone. It's also great for gym days when my skin needs a little boost. The formula isn't super creamy and it dries to powder finish quickly. Shades Medium 5 and 6 work best with my skin tone and I like to contour with shades Deep 8 and 9. The light shades don't work for me. You can easily use the stick to draw and dab the product on and blend with your fingers or brush/sponge. They are perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. I prefer not to use it has a primer because it isn't moisturizing. It looks very natural leaving a second skin finish.
Would you try a Tinted Blur?
