Fenty Beauty - Cognac Candy Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil - Review and Swatches
Hi Beauties!
Cognac Candy is Fenty’s newest Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil shade. It is a diamond-dusted highlighter that delivers a 3D glittering veil of sparkle for the face and body. The limited-edition shade, Cognac Candy, is described as pure copper sparkle. Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil was inspired by the crystal dress Rihanna wore at CFDA 2014. "You can never have enough diamonds! This is the closest thing to bathing in it. The sparkle in this is just insane!"—Rihanna. The Diamond Bomb retails for $52 CAD at Sephora.
The packaging is a pretty copper with glitter compact that matches the product on the inside. Cognac Candy has a coppery-orange base with gold sparkle. At first glance, it looks like it would be very pigmented. It is described as a glittering veil so the shade just melts into the skin leaving little to none pigmentation. There are no harsh lines or a cast you get when highlighters have a deeper shade than your skin tone. However, it is very sparkly and gives more of a glazed look. You can also use it as a topper. It shines the most beautiful in the sunlight. The texture of the powder feels cream like but turns to a powder when applied to the skin. The glitter is very fine and doesn’t look chunky. It applies best with a dense brush and I use a body brush to apply it to my chest and shoulders. The fingertips pick up the most product which best suited for tapping the product into the cheekbones.
Would you wear this shade?
Samantha
