Nars Orgasm X Collection - Review and Swatches

For summer 2020, Nars has released a full collection inspired by the iconic Orgasm Blush. Orgasm X Blush, a warmer, brighter take on the original peachy pink shade is now available. What’s even better, Orgasm X comes with its own collection. The limited-edition collection features a mini eyeshadow palette, eyeshadow quads, cheek trio and a lip tint. There’s something for everyone with the bold punchy hues and soft pinks. Today I will be sharing swatches of everything from the collection except for the mini eyeshadow palette. Quad Eyeshadow - $68 CAD

A limited-edition quad is available in two colour options, Orgasm and Orgasm X. Nars powder formulas and pigments are one of the best and it is no different with this new launch. The pigmentation is on par with what I’ve come to expect from the brand. The shadows are available in matte, shimmer and shine finishes. Orgasm X contains deeper dusty rose shades. It’ s perfect for creating smokey night time looks. The Orgasm quad is lighter featuring soft pink hues suitable for day time looks. I used the light shimmers in the Orgasm Palette as an inner corner and brow bone highlight and the Orgasm X Palette on my lids and crease in the below look

Orgasm X Cheek Palette - $60 CAD

A limited-edition cheek palette featuring three universally flattering shades including the bestselling Orgasm, Orgasm X and Orgasm Highlighting Powder for a sultry, second-skin glow. The original Orgasm blush shade is a peachy pink with a fine gold shimmer that gives a natural flush of colour on the cheeks that is buildable rather than highly pigmented. The new hot coral shade, named Orgasm X, is an intensified version of the original, packing more pigment for a bolder finish. It still, however, has a subtle finish. The formula is similar to Orgasm and blends away to give a natural flush. With that said, I think it is a universal shade as it’s almost impossible to overapply (on me that is the case). The gold highlighter in the palette is just stunning. I’m always surprised how gorgeous Nars highlighters are especially in a cheek palette.

Orgasm X Cheek Palette and Oil-Infused Lip Tint

Orgasm X Oil-Infused Lip Tint - $34

A lip oil that delivers a sheer wash of colour and moisture to the lips. The tint is infused with water-absorbing molecules to create a fuller look. It also contains plenty of antioxidants to give a nice plush. Orgasm X is a shimmering coral shade that contains gold pearls. The gold isn’t too overpowering but it is noticeable; it gives a high shine finish. My natural lip colour comes through when worn alone so I like to pair it with a liner. It has a smooth, lightly creamy texture. It is non-sticky and comfortable to wear. I did notice it settle into the lip creases after some time.
