Natasha Denona Mini Zendo Eyeshadow Palette - Holiday 2020

Hi Beauties!

As part of Natasha Denona’s Holiday Collection, she released a mini 5 pan palette, the Mini Zendo Eyeshadow Palette. It is a “warm-toned palette that conceptualizes a mix of elements - an ambiance where wood meets metal & nature meets modern.” It includes three shimmery eyeshadows and two mattes. It will be a permanent palette in the brand’s line. The mini palette retails for $33 CAD and $25 USD at Sephora.

The overall colour scheme of this palette is really pretty. The shades include dusty coral, pastel pinks, deep cool burgundy and a light taupe. I had some hits and misses with this palette. The mattes are beautiful - creamy, pigmented and blendable. For a simple look, I put Bare (pastel pink) on the lid and Uncovered (dusty coral) in the crease and call it a day. Stark is cool plum with a metallic sheen and creamy texture. It is richly pigmented and blended well. It is great for adding depth and smoking out the eye. I had high hopes for the shimmers. The shade Dazz is a peach with gold shimmer that is pretty but I wanted more. It felt stiff in the pan and I really had to rub my fingers to pick up some product. It also needed some building to get the pigmentation I wanted. It’s good for an everyday lid colour. However, for the look below I used a glitter topper for a more full glam. Lastly, the shade Stripped; in the pan, it looked like it had a green shift which I was really hoping for. It is described as a warm silver but on the eye, it looks like a light gold or taupe shade. There was some fall out with this shade. I wore Dazz and Stripped beside each other and they bleed into one another so I had to use different toppers to get some contrast between the two.

Overall, for the price, I think this palette is good for everyday looks. It can even take you into the night with the dark plum shade. I really love the two matte shades. The shimmers are pretty but for photography/full glam it may not work. But who has been doing full glam these days anyway?
