Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush - Shades Happy and Love
Hi Beauties!
Selena Gomez has launched an extensive range of products from foundations and concealers to blushes and lip products. I had my eyes on the blushes since they were released. I waited, read reviews and finally gave in and picked up two during the Sephora VIB sale. The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush comes in eight shades in matte and dewy finishes. All I have been wearing lately are cream and liquid blushes. Mostly in dewy finishes but I picked up one of each formula in the Rare Beauty line. The liquid blushes are said to be weightless and infused with long-lasting pigments for all-day wear. They are also made with the brand’s botanical blend of lotus, gardenia, and white water lily to help soothe, calm, and nourish the skin. The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush retails for $26 CAD and $20 USD at Sephora. Reasonably priced for the amount of product you get which will probably last years.
The packaging is very pretty. They come in frosted plastic bottles with twist-off tops and have a large doe-foot applicator to apply the product. The applicator does pick up quite a bit of product. In comparison to the pump on the Nars Liquid Blushes, the doe-foot is much easier to work with and can be used to apply the blush directly from the applicator. The brand wasn’t kidding when they said a little goes a long way. They are insanely pigmented and all you need is one or two dots per cheek. You can also warm the product up on the back of your hand and apply it with a duo fibre brush or beauty sponge. The shade Happy is a cool pink in the dewy formula. I found it workable to apply and blended well. Once it dries and sets, it leaves a light sheen to the skin. The shade Love is a Terracotta shade in a matte finish. For a matte liquid blush, the texture was thin and lightweight. It is highly pigmented and dries down quickly. I found it difficult to blend once it set. Next time I will apply one cheek at a time so it doesn’t dry down and lift the makeup underneath. The brand recommends applying the blushes under your foundation for a natural blushed look to create a healthy glow. Both formulas are long-wearing and last all day. I highly recommend these, if you’re in the market for pigmented liquid blushes.
Did you try these blushes? Let me know what shades are your favourite.
